I am Veorge Weathersby, Jr., President of the Alpha Sigma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
On November 5, 1932, the Alpha Sigma Lambda Chapter (ASL) became the 139th house of Alpha. Since its beginning years, ASL has played an integral part in providing service to the Dallas / Fort Worth community. The brothers of ASL have given their time and resources to make an impact in the lives of the people we serve. ASL is home to the 17th General President, A. Maceo Smith and 7th Southwestern Regional Vice President, Earnest A. Wallace. ASL has hosted two General Conventions and numerous regional and district conventions.
Over the years, ASL has remained committed to carrying out the core mission of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. ASL is mission focused on leadership development, mentorship, providing service and advocacy to our communities all the while, maintaining a strong and thriving brotherhood. ASL brothers have served as leaders in many of our community service organizations and have been elected to various city and county leadership positions.
The brothers of ASL will continue to strive for excellence and act as agents of change by remaining servants of all. ASL will continue the tradition of “Holding the Light of Alpha High” in the Dallas / Fort Worth community.
